It is respawned by the game because the dynamic campaign doesn't take into account sunken ships at all, you could a ship 15 times in a campaign and it will still come back if it's scripted in somewhere

I think

Same thing happened to me

Hi
SH3 is a wondeful game , you can go how many times you feel for to sink
" HMS Nelson " in Gibraltar harbour . You see , if you end your patrol , and start a new patrol , " HMS Nelson " would be in the harbour again , and again and again and again
But be careful , the british in the harbour learning in the war
Don't ever try to go in to the Gibraltar harbour from november 1942 to 1945
YOU WILL NEVER COME OUT ALIVE

I've had that same question too, until I sank the Hood twice

No way around it I'm afraid.....I've attacked an individual ship in a convoy before, sank it then lost contact with the convoy, saved game then restarted and sped on the surface ahead of the predicted path only to find the same bugga there again

Last night I was coming back from the coast of Africa after a really successful patrol, and I thought I'd head up the Strait of Gibraltar to see if I could use my last couple of torpedoes up. I managed to sneak right into the bay, 1.5km off the port of Gibraltar itself, and what was there? HMS Nelson. I gave her my last 2 eels with magnetic pistols at about 1km, both detonated. All I succeeded in doing was making the Royal Navy really angry. I managed to sneak away, and apart from slamming into in a sub net, I got home without much drama.

I'm going back there as soon as I can, to finish the job. I spotted 2 Southampton and a London Class too. I almost feel like I'm cheating though, as they're sitting ducks.

Nothing wrong with this resurrection - it's as good as a new thread. No outdated information here...

The Lange brothers are probably caught in a temporal horizon and try to communicate this way.

I never have a problem with thread resurrection per se. It's when the post answers one made three years ago as if it was made three minutes ago, with no warning. It's jarring, to say the least.

Also, the OP hasn't been on these forums in more than a year.
