Akella was on track to do something, but yes, they have failed so far. Sea Dogs currently rates as #1 in my book. Pirates of the Carribean took away some of the good ships and the land combat is a little uh, not so good.

I heard the game 'Pirates!' is pretty entertaining. I played the first version many moons ago, but the new version I have not.
