This can sometimes happen if you can position yourself behind the line of fire of your attacker.

The game engine is unable to take into account it is attacking one of it's own in it's efforts to destroy you.

Stooooopid game engine

I've heard things like this before.

Reminds of one incident in Scapa Flow, single mission, before I got GWX. After torpedoing the Royal Oak, I decided to bugger the hell out. Unfortunately, someone saw me.

Now, one bright spark decided to depth charge. Another one wanted to shoot at my periscope. So both went ahead and did their thing.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Result: scratch one DD--too bad I don't get credit for him!--and one very embarrassed destroyer captain.

Can I just be a bit of a pedant and remind all folks that HMS is a title and therefore to say " the HMS Rodney" is incorrect.......the correct use is "I turned the corner and there I saw HMS Rodney".......if you wish to use the definate article 'the' then please omit HMS and say...."I turned the corner and there I saw 'The Rodney'.

Cheers chums...pedant mode off

Thanks for clarifying. I, for one, never learned the proper use of articles, which is obvious from my posts.

Yes you can, but don't expect it to stick. I gave up correcting people's English long ago, as it only makes them say things like "Don't be such a pedant!", and gives you headaches.

And the worst offenders are not people for whom English is a second language. It's the ones with US and UK addresses who should know better, but usually don't know or don't care.

A month from now this thread will be long gone, but you'll still be pulling your hair out.

Good point, no more pedantry for me. Your correct, those of us with English as a first language get very lazy with our native tongue.

I blame it all on the current craze of 'text' type......my daughter sends me a text and I have no idea what it is supposed to say so I end up using my free minutes calling her to find out what she was talking about.....tut!

Edited to add.........And shes only in the next room!!!!!!!
