In the folder ...\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\ you will find the file GamplaySettings.cfg. Open it in notepad and the rest should be fairly obvious. Find the setting you desire to change and toggle the true/false part. Again, I have no idea if that will even work but that is where it is apparently stored.
