Default Sunk carrier on the surface.

Yes as the topic says I sunk a carrier on the surface at the mouth of tokyo bay.

I was sailing about 164 M SE from tokyo harbor and got a contact. It was not a merchent, it was going between 19 and 20 knots, It had to be a warship. I chased it at flank (21 knots in my gato) and was winning. I finaly cought up with it right at the mouth of tokyo bay, I got into fireing position on the surface, but before my torpedos got halfway, they spotted me.

The torpedos hit 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 no duds, the carrier went up in flames.:p I had no time to admire my kill, only enough time to get away from the fast moveing blips on my radar comeing right at me. I got away fast to, I put the sub at the hightst speed it could go. The shore units could start there stuff at any second.

I got away. It was a Taiyo Escort Carrier. 17,830 tons plus the two merchents I got earlyer.:p For 26,388 tons. Going back to midway(base)

That is not possiable in RFB, you can barely take down a merchent with that oversized clothes hanger.

Do you routinely try to abort merchants in RFB? If so it might be easier to abort them while they still are in dry dock...

I am so going to hell for that
