It's a game. IMO there's no reason why the crew should die of C02 poisoning at 26' when I can go on the bridge. That isn't realistic to take the plunge to 1,000's of feet and crush when they could easily abandon ship at 26' and take their chances swimming.

It has been discussed many times, plain and simple, it's not in the game. And the sub tender is in the game but it won't replenish your sub either. That's just the way it is.

(And for the new guys that are going to pop in and tell me that the sub tender does set up refit stations during the war, the sub tender does nothing!)

i think your only hope was maybe a tanker could be sent to refuel you but with no engines i think you would be told to just skuttle the boat when a ship arived to pick you up rather than take the risk of losing another ship in a towing attempt.

you would be like fresh meat in a shark tank
