Donwload mods.

Hey everyone, well im new to this site and SH3 which is badass btw, so i was at subsim.com and they have mod downloads there and they ask for a donation ofcoures to keep this site runing, so i did and donate but didnt say anything about where to go next to download the mod or im i doing something wrong? i click on GWX 2.1 btw, any info on how to get the mod downloaded to my game be much helpful thanks.

Once you have saved it,then extract the files and hit the install icon/.exe file and off you go.Look here for full info.

also go for the GWX 2.1 and the SH3 Commander mods.The 2.1 fixes some CTD issues and makes SH even better,also turn up the sound when youre insatlling GWX 2.1

See the link below my sig. for the SH3 Mods\Utilities Thread, also there is a link to JSGME ( Mod Enabler ) in the first post in that link. If your using Mods, this nice little app. will make your life much easier.

There is a nice Illustrated Guide for JSGME below my sig. as well.

I just installed GWX myself and I think I had the same issue as you do....not enough instructions on what is needed and broken links to the GWX site.

Browsing through the forum and other sites, this is what I found out:

1. Go to this website: http://thegreywolves.com/
2. Go to "download links"
3. Download the "GWX v2.1 Online Manual"
4. Choose one of the hosts (I used Jimbuna Filefront Hosts)
5. Download GWX2.exe and all 7 of the gwx2-?.bin file (The ? will be numbered 1-7)
6. Download the GWX2.1.exe
7. Put all of these files into the same directory on your harddrive. (Doesn't matter where)
8. Open the "GWX v2.1 Online Manual" and read the installation instructions for the details.
9. With a clean install of SH3, run GWX2.exe. You will have to tell it where you installed SH3.
10. Run GWX2.1.exe. You will have to tell it where you installed SH3.
11. Play game.

Note: GWX2.exe will automatically install JSGME to your SH3 directory. There are some mods with GWX that will not be automatically activated and you will need to run JSGME to activate these mods. The "GWX v2.1 Online Manual" explains what these mods do.

Jimbuna, The main GWX site works fine, but there are a lot of links linking to a http://gwx.mysite.orange.co.uk/ site which apparently is not being used any more. For instance, this thread:

which refers to the orange site and the "GWX HOME PAGE" link under the "Teamwork Wins" banner directs to the orange site.

It took me awhile (me being a noob) before I noticed the "THEGREYWOLVES.COM" link at the bottom of Capt. Lehmann's post.

This thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=135224 also has the "GWX Home page" linking to the orange site.

Not complaining, but it took me awhile to finally find out where I really needed to go.

The site recently moved and the new one is still under development.

I take your point re: the Kpt Lehmann post and will remind him to alter it.

I am certain the link within and also below my sig does work though

I also want to thank you and the rest of the GWX team for creating this wonderful mod. I started playing SH3 when it first came out and then went to SH4 and other games and have not played SH3 for quite awhile. When the urge came back to play SH3, I noticed your mod. It is like playing a whole new game. 100x better then vanilla.
