That mark never showed up until I had did that partial erase I mentioned above. I had used the disc before, but never did what I did above. When I erase them I always do the full erase and when done I check the back. Are you saying that I should have been able to do the partial erase and no mark should have been left behind?

Now that I have my external enclosure, it won't be hard to stay below 3.5 GB. I doubt I will even use the discs anymore. I was just curious if I ruined my disc. The external enclosure is just so much easier and faster.
