that's exactly how the environment appeared when i ventured to the carribean in feb.1940 awhile back,a black daylight sky and a eerily bright sea and a bright"sun"in a ink black sky an anti-matter world was my description.when i returned to the canary island area it had returned to normal.

In a IXB/C i can run temporarly at 280m while the repairteam is running around with pattex and a sledgehammer but i usually implode before i get to safe depths in time. The weird situation in my screenshot is caused by temporary glitches of the gfx driver and can be easily fixed by restarting the game.

I was in an IXB and I play DiD. It's the first time in this war that I've pushed it past 200m. I went to 205, then 210, then 215, then finally 220m, and still couldn't evade the DD and dared not dive deeper. I actually took a little DC damage at 220m (!) but got away with it.

I have "randomise crush depth" checked in SH3C.

I had the same problem 2 days ago, only mine was not a happy ending, it was a career killer.

GWX 2.1, In my Type IIA in the north sea I attacked an English convoy in 1939. It had 4 escorts, maybe 5. It was only 70 meters of water though, I couldn't get away after sinking 2 large merchants.

I spent hours of real life time at the computer using every trick I knew to get away, 4 were hunting me for a while, then 2, then one persistant destroyer stayed on me, even though he was out of DCs, he stayed with me pinging and pinging. After hours of trying to get away i tried to go to PD to try to find a blind spot in the ASDIC, in which, I was rammed and the career lost.

I got back to base and the VIIC/41 still isn't available.

Does anyone know when/where in GWX 2.1 I can get my hands on a VIIC/41?
