Default Mercs 2

So has anyone here got round to playing mercenaries 2 yet?

I loved the first game but never really followed the second. I know it got a couple poor reviews because of bugs but it does look like a fun game. The mercs games may not be at all realistic but they are a good laugh

I would like to get it for my laptop but the PC specs for this game are pretty damn high. My laptops specs are just below the recommended so i guess it should run ok :hmm:

Havent tried it yet but it looks pretty cool. I like how you can destroy EVERYTHING you can see.

Dunno about Mercs 2, but Mercs 1 was a very good game

Hope this one lives up to the last one

Ok for anyone who is thinking about getting the game, unless you have a very powerful pc i would get it for a console. My computer can play games like company of heroes on medium-high no problem.it is above the recommended specs but i can only play it on medium-low with a resoultion of 800x600

I should of had a look at the forums first. It seems loads of people are having terrible trouble running the game on fine gaming machines. From the looks of things this is a terrible port from the consoles and is one of the most un-optimised pc games out there

There are many people spitting blood over the game and i can see why. It can be a very Very frustraiting game and a very glitchy one too....

To be honist though ive had some fun playing through it and at its best it can be a great game full of sensless destruction. There are alot more airstrikes then the first game as well

One problem i had is the fact most of the airstrikes are through a becon or smoke which your character only throws a few feet in front of him. You can see the problem when you have just called in a Fuel air bomb or a MOAB

Rented this for the PS3.

It's a good game for the first play-through but after that it's too repetitive, it's also too short, around 8-10hrs playtime.

However, destructible environments are always a winner and they make up for some cumbersome control schemes. However, this is a good game overall, just don't expect to play it again (unless modded on the PC).

That's a lotta play time...

Anyway, I liked the first Mercenaries a lot, so I'll probably get this one of the PC regardless
