Grids are the thing I hate the most in sh3 seas. To make it realistic, you have to make small waves, and small waves looking from distance looks freaking ridiculous. You can spot the grid moving together, same animation.

I tried the best to avoyd the grip appearance, but still you can see it if you seach for. I tried everything. Tried different numbers of horizontal lines and vertical lines, but the grid only changes its arrangement, you still can see the infinite lines. I even tried PRIME NUMBERS, like 7 and 13, hoping the grid to disappear, but still no luck. The arrangement changes a bit, but it's still there, in your face, driving me nuts. If I could just define the game to simulate grid's movements in turns, like odds and pairs or something, we could maybe fix it, or at least turn it into a more imperceptible sh!t.

At least, for my confort, the grid is almost invisible looking from the cameras attached to the uboat, like the deckgun or the conning tower. You would have to use the external camera to see the grid, so that's not a big spot of bother.

What do you people think about the sun halo on those videos? Looking ugly yet, right? Where's OLC when I need him... :hmm:

It's designed to be installed on top of the latest version of OLCE2!

No it won't be compatible.
But choice is a good thing, right?

Edit:
Cross-posted.
@PT
Huh?
Those are not OLCE2 videos... not even similar. And how can this possibly be compatible with OLCE2?
Coz I built this on top of your mod! I'm using your textures and particles.
Well, firstly they're not my particles, they're GWX particles with tweaks to the way they are lit by light sources in the environment.
More importantly, OLCE2 is rather more than a few wave textures. You're not using the scene.dat by the look of it, nor the colour files from OLCE2... in fact I'm hard-pressed to see anything at all from OLCE2 apart from those wave textures. You can't just grab a couple of textures and call it 'compatible'. Just say it like it is: it's an alternative. Not the same thing as compatible.
Onelifecrisis is quite correct.

Furthermore, just because a thing is made to be different, doesn't always make a thing BETTER. It only makes a thing different.

Secondarily, messing around with the environmental files can really screw up AI performance if you don't know what you are doing.

If you want a little taste of it for now, download OLC's Environment 2.4.3, which have much better colours then I can produce for now, and replace his scene.dat with mine, from environment 1.2 in my filefront.

I'm not happy with the water in some parts of the day, with some sunlight effects.

When I'm happy with the results, I'll release the mod.

Will do. You did a good job on this one even if you dont finish it. (1.2 has a issue with rendering the waves on the surface when looking underwater. any way to fix this.

So the water is too bright, mirror-like.

I want to make it darker, like a lake. Anybody with me?

The main objective was to make the water look wet, and that's done... now the color...
