I had it once - I also solved it with a save/reload. I had to do it at the surface for it to work though.

this bug gets introduced by taskswitching

so a simple bypass is to just have the game running and nothing else, and dont alt-tab out of the game

for me, that's the trick. i had the bug bite me countless times, as well as the watch crew on deck at 200 feet - variant.

new install, ran quite smooth. alttabbed to this forum to talk about how great it went...
boom the bug hit me on the first dive

from where i'm sitting, it's purely a taskswitching problem which somehow got introduced by 1.5

Default I had the same.....

The co2 gage rised even after hitting the surface.16 hours later they all died ......at the surface XD
I saved the game then i gone back to the startscreen and loaded that just created savegame. Then the bug was gone.

I guess you are right,i tend to use alt-tab sometimes, and it gave me another problem,HUGE framedropping, then i alt-tab again and the framedrop is gone...usually i dont care much about bugs, but this one is very annoying....

So you could say i cant do without alt-tab,and if the bug appears i will just save it and load again, right?

yup, in my experience, it gets introduced by taskswitching and it gets solved by a save/reload

as a general rule i save my game at night on the surface every other day or so and I now have a habit of playing the game without anything else running in the background. I have been remarkably free from bugs at all ever since, currently actually rather enjoying 1.5 with TMO. go figure, after all my previous whining.

kudos to all modders (and i guess even to the devs) and sincere apologies for any annoying griping in days gone by

Oke i have this new problem...but i think i solved it

I am in my 15th career patrol,i'm based in Brisbane now and allready had one patrol saved from there. Now when i plot a course to my objective and use TA the whole game crashes!

I run Vista,so i was expecting some minor problems, but this is a big one...i never had a CTD with this game before,i tried it 4 times, and it CTD's at exactly the same spot everytime...the error module is sound.act and a buch of codes was produced everytime the same errorlog..

So i deleted the savefile(in which i sunk 2 carriers ) and the problem is solved,no more ctd.

Any ideas/discussion on this?
