Thats what I got - a Discovery.

One of the bad things about driving a Discovery into Washington DC is that the Discovery is 6'8" tall and the majority of parking garages are only 6'6"

Ouch! I know what you are talking about - watching the roof go past the first sun roof, scares you for the second sun roof! Its higher!

Then you start to wonder if you should get out, and drop your tire pressures a little, giving yourself a few extra inches clearance.

I'm still looking. I've owned 6 SAAB's so far, and I have a ton of pics of those though - but can't find my LR pics. I have some, but not very clear. Here is one SAAB I bought my wife for example (I've got her 3 convertibles so far, but now she drives my sedan? I don't get it??!!!). Anyway, this SAAB was pretty peppy. Its an SE model. Had a decent 205 HP.

I have since sold this one however. I only have one SAAB at the moment - a 93 Aero. I usually keep two on hand.

I'm finding all sorts of cool pics. Here is a place that you can only get to by 4x4 - great place to unload the AR! Yes, that is me.

This is the best pic I can find of my Discovery at the moment. You can at least see my cow catcher (brush guard) on the front.

Those pics reminded me, I just watched "Deliverance" for the first time the other night.

Man, I wanna go camping soon.

I'm heading out next week! You are welcome if you are around! Already paid for!

I should mention I dropped the cow catcher on a pretty big rock. The dent is under the LR on the cow catcher itself though so you can't see it. Damn rocks! Kind of sends chills though you when the whole damn thing shutters after screwing up!

I want a Defender. Get rid of this plush interior crap and go hard core. That is what i want! Crap, should I be riding off road in leather seats? Hello? I guess it has two identities. One in city and one off road. I'll keep the Discovery forever, but I'll probably pick up a defender (older one) at some point when I see a deal.

They are expensive though for what they are. That is why I say - A deal. Might be cheaper to buy one out of the UK if it weren't for the right hand drive!

Or a new one out of New Delhi.

Don't be fooled by the name though. They sound military, but it was just a marketing move, to honour the heritage, and unless you get an ex mil unit, they're really just a modernised series vehicle.

That wouldn't stop me buying one though.
