Something is wrong with your crew. Ensure they are not at battle stations and then go to the crew screen. I think you messed something up there. Pretty sure this is not a bug. Good luck.

Keep changing directions and keep trying all forward and backward speeds. Also try different depths and the surface. Something should eventually work.

This happens to me sometimes too. No idea why.

Change your 'view' if its on map go to the bridge, if your on the bridge go to the map.

Make sure you have pressed shift+F11 by accident, just press escape.

BTW what the heck does Sft+F11 do besides freeze your game?

Tried this, no joy.
I went back to an earlier save, where I was just about to dock at home base in my 4th patrol. Was given no choice but to refit the new conning tower and went straight into my next patrol, no fiddling with crew or equipment. Same problem, ugh.
