SHot down an aircraft and it hit my conning tower!

it started flaming a few hundred feet out, crashed into the conning tower, then did a backflip into the sea. no damage was done to the sub. I wish I had been able to record it because it was so funny to watch.

Well that's weird. Most people report major damage or even sinking when hit by large ex-flying machines.

It must have been a Manitowoc boat :hmm:.

The few times I've actually had to fight it out with an aircraft and survived long enough to bring it down, and then had it strike me...finished me.

Can't win against those crazy Kami's!!

Anyone know if maybe the AI directs them towards us :hmm:

Never happened to me. Then again I only let the crew take a pot shot at birds once or twice every career.

Take personal note: this is a good thing to know...probably a good idea in future to save before engaging enemy AC.

Their behaviour would certainly make one think so.

This guy didn't do any damage. I initially thought it was because there was no logic for U-Boat/aircraft collision (let's face it ... it's not something that should be happening all the time). One gotta admire his spirit though!

That explains the disappointed look on the pilot's face when I was sailing happily past him and his stupid red smoke.
