I know what you mean. I remember back in the `05 hurricane season, with Charley, Francis, and Jeane (and Ivan, but that one wasn't near me), that the news reporters were going nuts over the storms. If it were up to them, they probably would have evacuated the whole state, no doubt.

I asked for some rain, thought I was getting a hurricane, but I've seen more wind from an ex slamming the door!
