I don't think another war in the region would be helpful to anyone.
One thing I do recall however is Israels traditional enemies history at starting such conflicts....and Israels uncanny knack of finishing said conflicts. I should imagine that if Israel is attacked with dirty/nuclear weapons, even America would be unable to prevent her from doling out swift retrobution. Survival and hatred are great motivators.
