Default How to reverse from Periscope view to conning tower?

Hello all!

Already sent PM to Kpt. Lehmann, but for the case he's on the holiday or something, put this thread here.

My problem with GWX 2.1 is that I can't reverse from the attack periscope view to "conning tower periscope" view by clicking the mouse. That's not a big deal, but I would like to be able to do it anyway. It would looks just like you would take your eye from the scope's eyepiece. (I have found it to be much more comfortabel to see around in CT while cheasing for a target than just staring the dull and empty periscope view when running high speed and scope down.)

The problem is I don't know how and which files I should edit to get that reverse possibility. I have done the required editing couple times before, prior to moving on GWX, but it's so long time ago and I can't remember details enough. I checked and tried to do some editing in "commands" files in cfg, but no luck.

Any help availible?

Greetings,
-RC-

That's always been a complaint, even in the stock game. The right mouse button takes you back to the previous view, except from either periscope or the UZO.

Thats one feature i miss from NYGM, you used to be able to press numpad 0 to access the tower view (sitting behind attack scope), its a shame it wasnt implemented in GWX2/2.1.

Well, as I tried to tell you, I have managed to get it work several times before. I just think there has been somekind of bigger change in the command files because of GWX now, I think the file(s) looked a bit different in the stock game/game with other mods. It required just few entries more or minor changes before - don't remeber what kind of - and reversing from the periscope view worked just fine. However, as Sailor Steve said, the basic problem has always been here right from the start, so really it's not a GWX's fault.

hi rosencrantz,

there is a thread anywhere around here about this prob. you can assign a key to your middle mouse button (i took the "0" for it) in your mouse configuration program. then assign the "go back" key to "0" in the commands.cfg. after done this, you can go back of each station by pressing your middle mouse button.

Hi Rosencrantz,
I've done some testing with this and have found that the best way is here in my old thread (ex the bad wolf). Post 13
