I hated that if the game ctd I would lose all my progress in my mission. One more thing I have a dual 2.4 GHZ Pentium with 2 gigs of Ram and a Nvidia 7600 GT graphics card, will I be ok to play this game? Thanks for you help. I hope to rejoin you all again soon.
SH4 uses a watch system, and the watches automatically rotate. Even in SH3, there was an early "no-fatigue" mod, so you could set up the compartment compliments the way you wanted, and then forget about crew management. SH3 Commander also has a "no fatigue" option, so no need to constantly manage your crew in either sim.

In SH4, ordering battle stations wakes up ALL crew and puts them to work, so damage repairs and torpedo reloads go faster. BUT, be sure to cancel battle stations when the crisis is past, or they may become so fatigued that they all crash at the same time - and your boat literally shuts down then as there is no one manning anything anymore.

Slim, I have a rig similar to yours that runs SH-IV no problem. I would also say that it is a definite winner and although I personally prefer the Atlantic submarine campaign, commanding a big Fleet Boat in the warm waters of the South Pacific does have certain attractions

I also run a 7600GT and it runs SH4 with all graphics settings wide open with no problem. Frame rates are in the 20s on exterior view looking at the sub.

You should go for it for another great angle on the World War II submarine war.

Thanks for all the prompt replies, I have ordered the game on Amazon for $20 and I will be sailing in about a week. Look forward to joining the fleet soon. Thanks.
