Default Well it does happen at sea as well

The prob i often have autumn and winterseason in the atlantik that i have to be so close to the target to get a lock that the torpedoes are not armed when they hit the target with standard attackposition. The only solution i find so far is to let the target pass and let the torpedoes run behind them to extend the fire-hit time so they can arm propperly. Of cause the successrate is well below normal, the target detects me running behind him to be ready for another shot and i risc to loose the visual contact. Atm im messing with submerged/no-lock/hydro-detection-only attacks but thats a real challenge if i never had any lock yet cause of poor visibility. The window from seeing the hull in the attackmap and the target pass a point where the chance of hitting it with a fair rate being successful is getting to small or even impossible is very small.

btw. for stationary targets its not too difficult to hit them with manual torpedosettings without a lock.

Seearch for bad weather, foul weather, etc. to get tactics on engaging ships in limited visibility. It's very tough to do, and generally not worth it versus smaller ships.
