I'll have a go at it tonight to see if I can get this to work, and if I do maybe I can put together a readme/instruction set for XP users. Don't even worry about it anymore, I would never expect you to go through that much trouble for someone who doesn't need it that much.

After all, XP + SH4 1.5 works fine for most, it's just that I (and probably others) need those drivers because of issues in other games Nvidia promised to fix in this release. I'll report any findings back on this forum.

Best of luck.

Hiya,

I am testing different install-methods for vista x64

All seems well there and i can either use nvidia's installer or extract all driver files to a folder then update device using update vidcard drivers from control panel etc
:hmm:
I went back to a clean install before i added any drivers, Used 158.54 to get decent base, Then installed 175.16 then 177.26 as i say auto or manual update worked weird

Will check for known good xp inf's and go from there

So what i'm doing is gonna upload the 2 persuasions of Vista Drivers x86 x64 as i know these should work as it's the same system layout

Then after that i will go through the Xp and Xp 64 .inf's and see what's causing the problem

Will edit 1st post as-when needed with links and methods

Yeah if i send you the link for XP x86, And a slimmed down install faq for vista, Maybe you can translate it so to speak into the XP x86 and then do a install guide etc for your OS

Ciao

Mucked around with it some more, no way in heck I'm gonna get this going. If I start changing the contents in the pack I'm gonna do more damage then good. Installer doesn't seem to function for XP (missing a fair number of entries in the registry after supposed succesfull install) and manual install just states that the driver is incompatible with XP. Did some messing in the registry staying within the limits of my (limited) knowhow, without any real results. Just restored it from a backup and I'm gonna leave it alone. Scoured the C:\ drive for remains of old installs that might be acting up, but other than a single uninstaller that got left behind it's clean (you're right, Driver Sweeper does a very proper job ).

I'd be glad to serve as guinea pig for your "XP edition" if you get around to it, and I'd be more then happy to peace together some install notes for other XP users. For now all I can do is wait, I guess.

Hiya,

Uploading other OS ones now

But my conx is mega slow today (any other time my conx is 100% lol)

Will add links asap

Yeah i have added the .INF's already

So the drivers and the drivesweeper is all that's needed

Yeah that cleaner is the only one i use you see, So i test drivers etc using that

Now looking at it, These in XP x86 (32bit) form might i stress might lose some fps in certain games, But that's just from a forum i glanced across earlier

Should post links in 50mins or so

Ciao
