Key to start 1.5 add on?

Hi all,

I have just reloaded my SH4, then downloaded the U-boat missions add-on. The problem I am having is that when I click on my SH4 icon, (this is the first time trying to get in after downloading the 1.5 add-on) it brings up a Ubisoft screen asking for me to enter my serial number. It gives me the option to do it via internet (which my gaming computer is not hooked up to) or do it manually. I have tried entering the key that I was emailed when I purchased the 10.00 add-on, as well as the original serial number or key that is on the inside of the jewel case with my copy of SH4. NEITHER ARE WORKING!!!

Am I just being too dense and am missing something obvious?? Can I only activate my add-on via internet?

By the way, the download of the add-on went fine, and the updating to my SH4 went fine as well. (and my original SH4 worked fine. It's just since I did the U-boat Missions addon that I am unable to get the game to start because of this "serial number" or "key" it keeps asking me for)

Can anyone help me out please?

Thanks very much,

Dale

humm, activating this thing with a key is a nightmare, it seems to want it entered in a very specific way, just plain typing it in as its shown doesnt seem to be enough.
however i wasnt aware the addon even required a key, wich leads me to beleive that if it does, then online activation could be the issue ?

i reckon however that the key it wants is from the original SHIV
im also sure it had to be ntered like this ( all upper case) example SHXS-FGHE....etc.
dont quote me on that lol, in the end i typed the whole thing into notepad then copy and pasted it into the serial box ingame, because it wouldnt accept it any other way.

Hi,

Yup, I entered everything exactly as it appears in the email from D2D. Upper case, dashes, you name it.

And I tried re-entering my original key as well.

But I just keep getting the "invalid code" message. I even tried removing everything from my drive again, reloading from start, and I still keep getting the same thing.

Has anyone else who has downloaded the U-boat mission add-on experienced this?

Thanks all!

Just installed SH IV. It never asked me for my serial number from the back of the manual. I was able to run it without problems. I bought the I.5 add-on. When I started SH IV this time, it asked for my activiation key. I copied and pasted the key from the 1.5 add-on and used the internet activation. The game started without any problems. Bottom line, I have only used the 1.5 activation key and never entered the one that came with SH iV intelf.

Don't know if this helps or not.

Hi again,

It was just the internet thing. As soon as I hooked up to the net it allowed the activation, so all is good.

Thanks!
