Very interesting data AK Davis,
I also would like to remark that certain jap DDs in RFB 1.5 show an CONSTANT (also when unawares of my presence and in formation) animation of DC rollercharges being dumped over the stern. Just check all DDs with external cam on an convoy with lots of escorts with external view. No underwater cans or explosions tough. If this DD spots you, he charges harmlessly overhead...(out of DC?):hmm: Trebb.

i noticed your mod included replacement singlemissions and singlepatrols files to replace the stock versions. i didnt see anywhere in the "read me" what changes you made to those, what exactly did you do with them?

Hi
True is I don't know if this problem is know but I didn't check all those posts on this tead, if there is solution for this problem, forgive me but I am too lazy for checking all posts. I do not have U-boot addon and still play on version 1.4 I installed the last version of TMO for v.1.4 game and RSRDC_v14_v390 and I have one problem with anoying CTD. I noticed that when I try to identify one of Japan ship (war ship, don't know which one) using ingame ship identify book my game crashes. The same thing happenes when I try load museum from main menu, loading bar goes to 100% and than game crash. Looks like there is problem with textures of one Japanese war ships or something when game tries load it. I installed RSRDC_v390_Patch2 but it didn't help :/ Please if anyone can help me and tell me what should I do ? Thank you |

Yes I know about it and has been corrected in the 1.5 version. However I no longer support the 1.4 based versions of RSRDC. |

Again from the "readme" All single mission files have been rewritten to support Phase III. The original stock missions were conflicting with the new campaign layers. The format of the missions is the same as “RSRDC Patrols” ”, that is “real world” mission against the tracks generated in the campaign layers. |

Lurker or anyone else who knows a lot about RSRD.
I've been playing the RSRDC_V350_for_V14 version of your mod for about half a campaign. Great work. I'm really enjoying the ship layers. One question though; Is your mod so realistic that we almost have to know where the IJN forces are to find them? I haven't run across any IJN forces save for one destroyer lurking outside a port of theirs. I get the message traffick telling me about events like the Tokyo Express and the shelling of Henderson field but I am way too far away to get there in time. If I were in the vicinity would I actually run across DDs resupplying troops on Guadalcanal or a BB shelling the north side of Guadalcanal? If so, hats off to you. ![]() Don't get me wrong, this level of realism is spectacular but it seems like I almost never see warships anymore. If the reason for this is that I just need to know where the IJN forces are then that's good enough for me. I'll just change my patrolling patterns and locations and find them. Besides, I think your mod is much more realistic that way considering that the ocean would NOT have been crawling with IJN warships. They would be in concentrated areas based on major engagements with the US. Sometimes I just get a little bored hunting things that can't bite back. My men haven't even been depth charged yet this campaign. They are soft and need toughening up. ![]() Thanks. |

I have found this grp of ships going from Truck to the Home Islands twice and have managed to sink the big CV and damage the smaller one, as they maneuver after the first fish hit. so, read a bit, get a copy of Silent Victory by Clay Blair and if not of Combat Patrol, which is an abbriged copy of it.. look maybe in amazon.com used books.. Silent Victory is THE BIBLE of all combat patrols in the pacific....
