Stev;
not sure if this will help but with TMO 1.4 the F12 key takes me outside then I left-click to get rid of the cursor and then use the mouse and the arrow keys to move freely around including zooming into the sub or racing across the waves to the ship in the distance. Using shift + the arrow keys increases the 'speed' of travel of the camera. I think stock 1.4 allows you to do the same thing, regardless if you press F12 again it will reset to viewing over the sub each time. |

Hello;
Sorry to resurrect this, but I was wondering about the static external view, not freecam in TMO. Un remming the lines for < and> don't do it...:hmm: |

1) For those who don't know, the < and > keys give a 'locked-on' view of your sub from the outside. Hitting them again takes you to another ship. In SH3 the view was limited as to distance, but in SH4 you can zoom in and 'walk around' the decks of other ships, just as if they were player ships. You get some great views this way.
2) For those of you now having a problem with this now: is this only happening with TMO? I don't know how to fix it, but it's interesting to hear about.

Is this what you're referring to?
11.) How do i get the next/ previous camera back? The easiest way is to open the /data/cfg/commands.cfg in TMO. Search for " [Cmd50] " Your looking for these two blocks: [Cmd50] Name=Camera_on_next_unit Ctxt=1 ;Key0=0xBE,,">" Page=0x34000000,3714 [Cmd51] Name=Camera_on_prev_unit Ctxt=1 ;Key0=0xBC,,"<" Page=0x34000000,3714 Simply remove the semicolon placed in front of the key assignment, and you have the next/previous cameras back. Note: this will restore hotkeys. It will not restore the buttons on the ordersbar. |
