Yes that is a possibility, but the GWX2.1 work was carried out by BBW and seeing as he is a little busy right now in RL, I would be reluctant to tinker with his work without his prior consent.

I'm on annual leave next week so put up a few single mission titles that I should add the Warspite to....for now anyway

Perhaps you could add the Warspite on some operations in the campaign like Weserenburg and Husky ? I'd it myself if i knew how.

With Warspite installed is it correct that the ID manual entry is simply "BBWarspite"?

It's a little jarring when no other ships use this prefix and especially since (judging by the cfg file) the Warspite can also be spawned as the other ships of the QE class?
How could I go about rewriting the recognition manual entry to state "Queen Elizabeth Class" (or "HMS Warspite") rather than "BBWarspite"?

Only if the ship not added to EnglishNames cfg ( or whatever language you are using )
