Care to share your tried and true evasion tactic. Once I hear "they are pinging us" message I might as well scuttle the ship because I am usually dead soon after. That's with just vanilla version of the game. I am so paranoid about destroyers that as soon as my hydrophone operator picks up a warship, long range. I rig for silent running, reduce to 1kts and turn the boat in a opposite direction ASAP. LOL, I have yet to take on a convoy.
