Hmm, Looks very nice.
I've got spec blueprints photos and a model of HMS Barham, My Grandfather served on her during WW1, this was before she was feffited alongside Warspite, The two ships being sisters and were built alongside each other. They cost 1.3 million each to build and then were reffitted during the 1930s for a cost of 3.5 million each (inflation or what?) Only Barham was sunk all the others went through both world wars intact either being sold or scrapped at the end of WW2 My Grandfather saw action on Barham including the battle of Jutland, I've got photos of the action, But I'm still not allowed to show them publicly, even afternearly 90 yrs, Sorry ![]() But that model looks almost there, I can't wait to see the final version ![]() Chris |

Honor to your grandfather, Chris!
He served on a glorious battleship! You're lucky ![]() Last pic for today, i'm going to bed: ![]() Fixed Octuple A\A, and another couple of lifeboats (see the model and the blueprints; it should be here) In this pics you can also see 4" and rangefinder placed; maybe the rangefinder's base is too high? Tomorrow i think i'll release this "2 days" work; move the 6" cannons is hard (too hard?); i'll make some test before final release :hmm: :hmm: :hmm: If someone want to say something, he is welcome!

Von Dos, that is brilliant. I thought the torpedo bulges would be impossible, but your modifications to them look exactly like the real-life ones. Superb work
![]() Considering your work on the rest of the model, I don't think anyone'd be too critical about the 6" guns. I certainly am not. You have done the best job that can be done with the Revenge model - certainly better than anything seen so far. If you're considering any modifications before release, the only thing I'll add is that the 4" guns were just above the 6" on the main deck - see below.... ![]() Just a suggestion, of course. You have done such a good job and great service I feel like I'm nitpicking rather than offering suggestions. Can't wait for your finished model! PS - Here's a plan of the Revenge class to compare. Hope it's of some use. ![]() |
