In Schroeder post second pic that tower in the background ( maybe a restaurant ? ) looks like a crows nest on the U-Boat. :rotfl:

Yep, that's the Wilhelm Bauer at Bremerhaven.

Man, that's cool! I just wish someone will go search off our Gulf of Paria. I bet there's a u-boat or two down there.

Did the Type XXI really ride that high in the water? Or is the museum just in "dry dock" with the water still there?

It's the museum boat. Here is a line drawing and a photograph of one at sea. Both pictures show the real waterline.
