Radar is NOT available until approximately 1942 or 1943. And even then it's not worth using. In clear weather, lookouts can spot ships farther away than radar. In nasty weather, the waves had a terrible effect on its use. Plus, your use of radar will give you away to your enemies. The Germans were way behind the British in development of radar.

Radar detection (the Biscay Cross) will be available before radar. This will be worth having! It is a must have!
