However I can't understand how like pretty much a lot of threads here start on one topic and then diverge into bashing one country or the other.

How did this turn into an Iran bashing contest?

AS for the topic this is good news as I'd love to plaster solar tiles on my roof and run certain electrical items off it.

Saw a guy on the news here in the UK who did just that, he got a grant from the government for investing in renewable energy and not only does he pay no electricity bill, the power company actually pays him for any surplus energy he makes!
