Default Obama thinks we all cling to guns and religion

Obama - classic. Not the man you want as President when this is what he thinks of some of the poorer people. Maybe Hillary has a chance after all:

Quote:
Quote: "You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion, or antipathy to people who aren't like them, or anti-immigrant sentiment, or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
Uhh anyway.... That to me sounds like his idea of the way forward is to remove guns, and remove religion since those things are clearly for the oppressed and weak who have nothing else. Scary. Add in there that he thinks disarming America is a good idea:

Scary times for this country, thats for sure.

I guess he got one thing right, his comments make me want to cling to guns and religion since the Nazi police are coming if he ever gets elected.

I heard this today on the car radio as I was on my way to church and the gun club following mass.

The statement by Obama about clinging to guns and religion will get him buried. As he so aptly pointed out, his white grandmother was afraid to walk past a black man on the street because of stereotypes of black men being thugs (50 cent is just an act), here Obama puts out his own form of stereotype for small town white America as gun clinging church goes. Praise the Lord and pass the ammo! Americans have been clinging on to guns and religion since the colonization of this land. What planet is this guy from? Keep going Obama, comments like this will not get you elected. Not to mention he has zero data to back up this statement.

Platapus -

Here's the context of that sentence.
Frankly, I don't see the harm or staggering novelty of what he said, nor does it read as any sort of stereotype.

But -- so the questions you're most likely to get about me, 'Well, what is this guy going to do for me? What's the concrete thing?' What they wanna hear is -- so, we'll give you talking points about what we're proposing -- close tax loopholes, roll back, you know, the tax cuts for the top 1 percent. Obama's gonna give tax breaks to middle-class folks and we're gonna provide health care for every American. So we'll go down a series of talking points.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there's not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Um, now these are in some communities, you know. I think what you'll find is, is that people of every background -- there are gonna be a mix of people, you can go in the toughest neighborhoods, you know working-class lunch-pail folks, you'll find Obama enthusiasts. And you can go into places where you think I'd be very strong and people will just be skeptical. The important thing is that you show up and you're doing what you're doing

That is a total stereotype. Not surprising that you can't see it though. You are blind to the world, except your immediate one though.

Obama quote:

"I have decided I wont wear that pin on my chest(american flag pin). Instead I am going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great and hopefullly that will be a testament to my patriotism."

Nothing sticks to this guy.

He calls Clinton out on transparency about tax records while only showing his last 6. When Clinton releases them and asks for the rest of Obamas tax records. He says nothing and his campaign says thats not the issue.

He claims in a written statement that he knew nothing about Wrights whacked out sermons, Then goes on tv 3 days later changing it to spring 2007 after the media called him on it.

Obamas economic policy adviser privately told Canadian officials to view the debate in Ohio over trade as "political positioning," according to a memo obtained by The Associated Press.

Thats change you can believe in?

Campaign crushing actions roll off this guy like water on a ducks back.

Somehow, I doubt this one will roll off so easily. He just p_ricked a pin into the American soul. This one won't be forgotten.
