I have used the search function a few times, had lots or returns, and found 2/3's of them to apply to SH3. If I could refine to SH4 it'd give closer, more accurate results.

If the system will already do that, I restate, I am a noob to the forum, and that facility (if it exists) is not obvious.
Go under "Advanced Search" and you can confine your search to specific forums.

Works for me

I always use google instead of forum search functions. The usual search function of boards like these can't match up to the algoritms google uses.

PS: I use IE7's builtin search box, with Google as default provider. Works like a charm...
Nice post S

Very nice! I just hit that link and one of the results was this very thread :rotfl:

Maybe the forum search should just point to the site search in google? Or offer both?

Cool, very usefull. I didn't know Google would do that. Thanks.
Nowadays both IE7 and Mozilla Firefox have a search box built in and mine are configured to use Google. That's why I un-installed the Google Toolbar; toolbars take up too much real estate on my browser for my taste. I performed the same search just now in the Firefox box with the same results. Yup... pretty cool.

The forum search usually works fine for me but I do use the above method if it doesn't spit out any results.

Click on "advanced" and you can have a lot of control over your searches.

Also, the search toolbars can only search the web-accessible (web page) directories and files. These tools cannot search SQL databases (which some messages systems use.)
