Hey Guys,
For the record I understand where Brag was coming from, and I salute him for actually taking the time to read the AAR, as stout and chunky as it was. The bottom line is that I was in a real rush, and just wanted to get my thoughts, and thanks to Ducimus on the record. I like AAR's, and I like a game that provides a rich template for a fertile mind to really spin a yarn from their game experiences, and SHIII is that game, especially with GWX 2.0. If I had the time, I would have sat down, and actually drafted a good story, but as indicated above I was trying to thank Ducimus, and compliment the game, and the forum. BTW, back to my original post, has anyone ever come across a cluster of that many warships? I know I was close to Scapa, but those 6 ships really made my hair stand on end. Again, thanks guys, and let’s not let this get out of hand, Especially since I'm a Newb to this message board. I'm glad Brag actually took the time to read the post in the first place. Criticism should always be welcome visitor at your door. Enough said. ![]() |

Sorry Factor,
Missed your post. Canon Eos-1D mkII, but I'm in line to be upgraded within the next 6 months (I hope) . I also have a 20D, but I really don't use it, only as a backup. The mkII is a great camera, solid enough to pound nails if needed. The only 'on the job' complaint about the mkII is being mindful of the weather all the time, which is a factor here on the east coast of Canada with our crappy snow/ rain winters. Our department lost 1 mkII and 2 5d's last winter due to wet weather. Shipped them off to Canon, and the cost to fix was greater than replacement. Nice huh, considering our paper gives them perhaps 30-40 K of business a year on average. ![]() |

nice, i shoot motorsports for a living, i usie a Mark II, and a Mark II N right now, wanna upgrade to the Marrk III, but after the bugs are ironed out. im thinking of switching back to Nikon, because the D3 is awesome, no noise at all at 3200 iso! and i shoot alot at night. Ive had the Mark II for about 3 years, and it is a workhorse. only problem ive had w/ it is the pin that locks the lense in place snapped off last year, nothing CPS couldnt take care of.
www.actionsportsinc.com ^ company i work for, i only shoot motorsport for them tho. if ya wanna see my work, type "Thacker" in the key word space. thats my last name. |

Just looking at the site. Man that’s dedication, shooting that much motor sport. I'm currently admiring your Jim Beam girl photo. Hehe.
Looks like great access, are you on the road a lot? Auto sports is huge down there huh? I'm based here in Halifax, a staffer at http://www.thechronicleherald.ca/ . Great job, we are the largest daily east of Montreal. It's an interesting time in the business; we are looking to the future, but they are slow to evolve here, and very resistant to the internet side of things. They best come around soon, as the internet is the future of the business. Do you have a press background, or an FA? My hats off to you for being able to shoot that much autosport, reminds me of hockey season up here. In reality though, every day is different in my photo world, sometimes boring, but then again, when you least expect it, something major happens. It always keeps you on your toes. Keep in touch. Cheers Ted. |
