Default problem:Sinking doom!!!!

this is strange....

i have the "natural sinking mod" on

i just got hit with a very effective string of charges....
(good thing i saved) anyways, my sub showed no flooding but, sank like a rock...even after a blow....what is up??!! i also had the "improved crush depths on" and i think they are bad...i hit bottom at 2,000 some feet...alive....

is this the sinking mor or just some other wierdness???

NSM doesn't affect submarines. Probably a random weirdness.

I don´t think so, I had to uninstall nsm 3 due to sudden sinking if going below 40.
And sadly nsm 4 is no good with 1.5 either, no american ships are tweaked!

Then there was a conflict with something else. I've never had sinking problems with NSM, be it 3.x or 4. Randomly going down like a stone for no apparent reason is a core game glitch. Haven't seen it with 1.4, but it'd haunt me in 1.3, even with NSM not installed.

Never experienced that in 1.4, you said you were using a Improved Crush Depth type of MOD? Suspect that....or an install issue.

I am doing testing, in Single Missions and I am letting the tin cans pummel me to test the subs.

They are pretty sturdy. Now some MODS do have a DC effect radius that BOOM your dead. So there are a lot of factors to your problem.

If you are interested in keeping your current MODS, try them out in the Single Mission, Palawan is a good one, just submerge make some noise and you will have 6 tin cans ready to pummel you into oblivian. Takes about 15 minutes.

Happy Hunting.
