If you think that's crazy, they sold their space shuttle prototype for about $200,000 on Ebay some years back.

I'm telling you, if we could pool $500 each, in about 2 years I could buy one of those Russians and get it sub-safe (at least to 100 feet), and we could have a Subsim Cruise Sub. Everyone could book a little time and I would take her around picking up guys for a 7 submarine cruise. Why should all the middle-age ladies and old people have all the fun with cruises?

Investment
Russian Whiskey: $350,000
upgrades and repairs: $250,000
total: $600,000
Subsim stakeolders: 1200
Investment each: $500

Annual operating costs
professional crew of 4: $150,000
fuel, supplies, rations: $200,000
total: $350,000

Return
stakeholder return: one week aboard sub plus profitsharing

Income
Paying cruise guests per week: 35
Cost of cruise per week for non-stakeholders: $800
Net sales: $1,344,000

I'm watching ebay for a sub, let you know what I find.

LOL!!!! If you did this right, we could turn it into an internationally known mega-club. It'd be FABULOUS.

Danish home built sub.

Here is his earlier sub, Kraka

McBeck is the contact man for Peter, the sub builder. I bet with half a million, he could put together a decent 150 footer that could could carry 10~15.
