It does seem to trivalize the millions who died. But then with every year that passes I fear the memory of WW2 is probably going to degenerate into a themed cliche in much the same way the Ancient, Medieval, or Pirate era does now.

Not entirely historically correct though. Benito Mussolini died a couple of days before Hitler.
