I used the Kiel Canal a few times. But then went back to rounding Jutland. Besides, how realistic is it without accounting for the time spent in the locks?

I use SH3Cmdr and set TC to 32 for near land. Curiously the diagonals aren't considered near on the way in.

"Two days in RL" to get through the canal is a rather large exaggeration IMHO. Two days in GAME time... maybe. |
