Fraps has a freeware version, but it sux. It only reccords at a very low resolution, and has FRAPS written in every frame, and has a very limited frames per seccond.

Not to mention that you can only record 30 seconds at a time!

When I use it to video Silent Hunter III w/ GWX 2.0 it makes the game verrry slow. So I've been looking hard for other "freeware" game video recorders for Silent Hunter III. Anyone know one besides fraps?

Edit: I finally got fraps to work without the game lagging!

Not aware of too many freeware ones but another pay version if snagIT whcih lets you do alsorts of things with screencap, vidcap and so on from an easy to use interface. If you are going to be doing a lot of this sort of thing I reckon it might be worth paying for a good tool that does a great job instead of a not so great tool that can mess things up.

Yeah, I guess that's why it's so good is because it is a high price. Only if I was rich!! :hmm:
