Default Request-Type 34 and 36A

"you Guys" better take a look at the Torpedoboot Typ 24 by Greg Law, and use its 127 mm Gun (from the EQP file) to arm the early german Destroyers.
Not only are they (about) the same Caliber but the Profile of the DD looks much more adapted to the pictures that you find in Books.

It is an allmighty shame to use a Yankee Fletcher Cannon on an AXIS ship, i tell ya.

Drawback: the Gun turrets lack these Windows for the aiming Instruments, and they are not closed on the Backside, but stay open like the 4 inch Guns.

Another negative about using your deck gun is that you are definately DETECTED, which has long term effects on your relationship with aircraft. -snestorm

Sorry there have been no replies. I know nothing about modelling in the game, so I can't help. I've admired those ships in the game, and never noticed anything wrong. Just letting you know someone cares.

Sailor Steve:
The german DDS are using Fletcher 5" Guns, wich, come on, suxxxxxxx

The Type 24 Torpedoboat by Greg Law and Sergbuto, in GWX 2, has a 127 mm Cannon, wich is about (127/25.4=+-5) the same as the 5".

BUT, when you google for german DDs and look at the Pictures, you will learn that the 127mm guns (from the Torpedobooats) fit much better in Size and shape on the german DDs, both 1934 and 1936A type.

modeling?
Hell you think that is modeling.... it is all in the Equipment files, and i discovered that by chance.
all you need is a notepad...

BBW:
I take it you are the Weapons officer on the GWX team?
IF SO, would you consider replacing:
  1. ALL "Flakvierling" - the German Quad 20 mm - by British twin 20 mm Flakguns?
  2. ALL double 37mm Flak by single variants?
The reason is that both Former ones still fire at some 80 to 85 degrees elevation no matter what.
The latter ones work fine and can be of some use until the other ones are fixed.

That is notepad work too, and i did it for most german Ships.
Or should i do it for the rest too, and just submit the new EQP files somewhere?

I'm not saying it doesn't. I'm just saying I never noticed.

BBW
good to hear that!

Especially that there is a ship, the large depot ship, relying entirely on the german Quad 20mm for self defense, one at this time totally useless weapon...
