It was grey because you didn't know what nationality the ship was. It would have been blue if it had been friendly. I don't think there is any such thing as a neutral ship in the Pacific. Everyone I have ever seen was either friendly or enemy.

There were, as I understand, Russian ships from time to time, but I never see them in game. Thanks for the info though...glad it wasn't a friendly.

I've seen alot of green targets which I have presumed to be neutral. Whatever they are, I don't stoke lead into them...
