Default Got a Small "Memory" Problem

Soo i havent played in like a week and then when school stuff settled down i decided to play it today but when i was loading up the mission the game crashed and went to windows, but not with my usuall screensaver, but instead with a blue one. and a message popped up saying
__________________________________________________ ______
McScript_InUse.exe Apllication Error
The instruction at "0x1220b393" reference memory at "0x00000018". The Memory could not be read

Click OK to terminate program
Click Cancel to DeBug Program
__________________________________________________ __________
I clicked cancel and it just brought me to another message that only had the "
Click OK to terminate program" option

I dont know wat the deal is. I didnt do anything to the game since the last time i played. Could it just be a low memory problem, my PC is telling me now i have "low disk space" is that the problem. Im going to delete some stuff and then c if that was it. What do you all think???????????

probably the case was low memory. try removing a few rarely used programs from your C: and see if that improves things any. My wife's computer had a similar problem... the easy solution (considering she saves every photograph she ever takes on her C was to go out and get her a brand new 500 gig C: problem solved (at least for a few years time i think)

Had the same problem. As long as I had a career I would CTS. The only time I did not CTS was in the academy. 2 and 2 = career problem. Went to my documents and deleted SHIII file. I then unloaded all mods (JSGM) and Started new career and everything was great. CTD's are caused by many things so I dont know how much help this will be if any.

Viel Glück Captain.

I figured it was Mcafee and a quick hit on google proved it. Hate that AV program, along with Norton, both are nothing but bloatware. Unistall all of it and get something simple like AVP.. i bet your problem will go away.

Tool.

Default virus scans

Try AVG, a free virus scan. I've used it for years and it does not waste memory and easily runs in the background without a problem.

Also, WinCleaner Memory Optimizer is good. It's free and rubs in the background. One note: Optimize before booting SH3 and just prior to exiting SH3, turn it off while playing cause it will affect game play while it tries to optimize during the game.
