hahahaha thats hilarious, aparently hydrophones carry xray sound devices now

and in regards to the guy who just went on a hissy fit about realism

i do enjoy it, but when i see a chance to rape a bunch of ships with the deckgun, ill do it. and i do use GWX, and its incredibly hard to kill stuff with the deckgun yes... but not impossible, i wont ever take on a warship with a deckgun in GWX, and i did those 2 engagements with stock before GWX finished downloading from the torrent (5 days ftw) but an armed trawler, or anything less, is gunna get 37mm up its ass if it drifts through U-87's waters. im almost positive that before 1942 kaleuns would rather use the deckgun in calm seas rather than their torps on unarmed merchants. Eels would cost about 25,000 marks each, 37mm shells, probably around 500marks a peice, maybe 1000 marks if its more, which i doubt anyway.

ive just got a little more balls and foolhardyness since ill take on ARMED merchants aswell. they blow at accurately placing rounds anyway, so just charge in flank speed, and send in some zigzags while yer at it too.

Im a one U-boat wolfpack. Ive hit the bottom of the Mediterranian at 250 metres in my VIIC and brought that babe back up, and still made it back to La Spezia. Ive sunk more destroyers than I have merchants...youll wish you never sailed into U-87s hunting grounds. When you pull into port, dont lull yourself into a false sense of security, your mines and subnets are just a petty challenge for my crew and I.

That's a little demeaning, don't you think?

Since it took anywhere from 30-50 88mm shells to sink a merchant, I doubt it. And no-one ever sank a merchant with the 37mm gun.

No balls at all; just the sure knowledge that you can't be hurt or die. Some of us like the feeling of being there and recreating the history; some of us just like to play a game. Both are cool.
