Hitting q on an open tube should close it.

I'm pretty sure it just said 'Tube opened!' again.

It's on the sh4 fold out key list. Q - Open/Close tube. Plus I used it on my last patrol.

I'll double check.

Maybe I should play with my reading glasses, too. :hmm:

Yep, Q open and closes selected tube. Try it you may like it. Just don't close it when torp is coming out or you'll be a right Rubber Ducky.:rotfl:

In the earlier versions, switching tubes closed the previous one. This no longer happens. However, diving below 99 feet closes all the tubes, as you're too deep to launch at that point.

would be cool to also have a key mapped to have torp flooded before opening the torpedo door.

You can open and close the tube using the Q key but it will automatically close when you fire the torpedo. (unless there is a setting I am not aware of) If you open the tube and don't fire you can close it. If you open and fire, then press the Q key it will say opening but will not actually open until the tube is loaded and if you continue to press q it will keep saying opening but it won't be open. So you have to wait until the torp is fully loaded before pressing q otherwise the door is still closed. You can try it by not shooting. It will say opening, closing, opening, closing but once the torp is fired it will say opening, opening, opening.....until the torp has finished loading and then it's back to opening, closing, opening, closing.
Also as mentioned above, it will automatically close when you are too deep to fire, so if you open them all and have to dive deep to evade a DD, when you come back to periscope depth, you will have to reopen them.
