ok, ok. We can have less holes in salt shakers, so long as the councilors agree to have more holes in their heads? Evidently there is still some vestige of brain matter that hasn't yet leaked out of their ears onto the floor.

I've got a long metal spike and my own transport... 200 quid per hole, plus expenses ofcourse :rotfl:

RickC, a 'punter' is slang for customer. Some might equate the term as something slightly less than 'mark' but not quite as fully respected as 'customer', implying some sort of mild scam. Perhaps.

Though the word 'punter' itself most likely derives from the word 'punt' meaning a flat bottomed boat propelled with a long pole. Can also be used to describe someone who gambles or the act of betting itself - 'I had a punt on the horses' or 'you get punters at the betting shop' etc. Gamblers.
Also used to describe a drop-kick in rugby, where you kick the ball before it hits the ground.
