Boat type doesn't really matter I don't think since it's a left-over problem from SHIII really, or at least in SHIII with Grey Wolves, GWX1.3a, and GWX2 I've had that problem with the U-boat deck guns as well. So it's really something that's been around for quite some time now, surprised I haven't seen more people complain about it.
![]() It doesn't happen all the time or on every patrol, however, once it occurs it only gets worse rather then better for the rest of that patrol tho. Initially the gun will line up just how it should or at least it's not very noticeable initially, eventually tho it'll degrade and all the shots will be to the right (starboard) of where I'm aiming, but the red cross hair will still hit dead on. Sometimes the bug becomes bad enough, I'll actually be able to see the end of my deck gun in my gunsight when zoomed in all the way. At that point I'm firing probably a good 30-40 degrees off target when using the gunsight, to the point where if I'm zoomed in I don't even see where my shots are hitting. I've just become exceptionally better at judging gun elevation when using the red crosshair considering I've dealt with this bug since I first started playing SHIII. Altho, since I typically don't start shooting my deckgun until I'm about 1500 or so away it's easier (I never engage ships that have the ability to fire back with my deck gun, that would be madness imho). If someone can find a fix for this problem that would be great, since as I said it's been an issue since SHIII that just carried over to the next game (same engine, etc, so not all that surprising unfortunately). |
