Default Teen's bill for a wild party? Cops say $18,000

Ouch! Police are going to charge this kid for simply doing their job? Last time I checked, this kid already paid the bill through his taxes.

The kid is sixteen. How much taxes do you reckon he's paid again?

How much resposnsobility will they be laying on the kid?
Were guests on the road when the cars were damaged etc?(500 in a house is quite a bit.) Private or public propety?
Is there a law telling one how many people one can have at a party? How does it work if the people causing the s***, were unkown to him?
... or for that matter what if patrons from a bar go out and cause damage (ala football fans). Basically how much was he able to do when it got too large?
An idiot for posting on the net!
Don't get me wong i think he should be punished , but will they have a hard time getting a fine passed?

And given his stinking attitude I think it is fair to assume that he hasn't worked a day in his short little life. I hope the parents teach the kid a few hard lessons. What a little a hole.

There are laws in Australia in regard to parties ,which is why the Police got called in the first place , then Numbnut's and his mates decided to attack the Police and have a riot for fun, so there's now a whole bunch of other charges he can get hit with

I'm reminded of the theme from Baretta:

Plus, you have to pay the police if you wanted them to provide security for an event with 500 guests. I guess they consider this much the same situation.

If the police have to provide traffic control for a construction project, that cost will be paid by the construction company not the local taxpayers. Of course the taxpayers would still end up paying for this in the end.

He's now getting offers to organise other parties, with a well know publicity agent here in Australia saying he could get $50,000 to $60,000 if he goes to America!

The creep should be made to wash police cars and clean the mess out of the back of paddy wagons for the next year as punishment for what he did. His parents should sell all his gear (playstation, clothes, computer, and so forth) on Ebay, with all profits going to cover the cost of his little party!

I love the attitude in the interview. He talks to reporters before his parents.

Sounds like his house must have been as full as a fat girls sock! If I was Dad, I'd be applying my size 12 steel capped boot to his backside for a while.

The problem is that it will most likely Mum and Dad who have to pay the fine cos Party Boy doesn't look like he could cough up $20K to quick.

He certainly doesn't deserve a job paying $50K to "organise" parites for someone else. I'd say his organisational skills leave a lot to be desired if the party was going to cost $20K to clean up after. If I'd paid for someone to organise a party I'd not want to get hit with a fine for damage etc afterwards.

What?! Do you have no education on rights and sanitation?

Washing police cruisers and transports is one thing, cleaning the inside is QUITE another.

You have any idea what he could be exposed to cleaning the inside of any police cruiser or transport? Do you WANT the police to be sued?

Now that he is well known he will get mega lawyers that could sue a fish.
