Yup we have had 1 driver go off with suspected menigitis, and today and yesterday a total of 8 loaders have gone home with "illness" we are dropping like flys in refuse section most likely because were loading on the puke that has been put into bin bags and when the blade comes down it has a nasty habbit of exploding the bags because of the trapped air and stuff just flys out, ive had a few objects hit me most painful was a bed base leg that caught me in the chest made a nice bruise.

I've racked my brains trying to think of something that would stop 'us' getting hit by debris that comes at you like bullets :hmm: . There's plastic guards at the sides but nothing central. Ideal scenario would be thinking up a solution, taking it up the stairs to the Dragons Den and they snapping my hand off ! Hand in my resignation from this [temporary] job, sniff, sniff and then ..
BTW.. everything goes up to landfill with this mob, no transfer station and you know what they are like; allsorts of things are breeding in these

I had that this week, not pleasent at all.

The projectile vomiting is particular bad, I could have stayed in bed and still hit the toilet

Only good thing being it doesn't seem to last long, I felt crap for a couple of days but fine after that.

Wow, I have never had projectile vomiting, it almost sounds tempting. I see a vomit-sniper contest, etc, etc.

On a similar subject I've always maintained that it should be law that the wash basin is sited in front of the toilet - for emergency purposes.

(or at least I have since a particularly bad bout of gastro-enteritis)

Alot of stuff still goes to landfill in one day we bring in 90 tonnes of recycling and send 220 tones to land fill i havnt had a major accident yet but theres plenty of time a friend of mine got his hand caught in the blade but he was lucky to keep it too !
