Default Alternative Loadscreen-Full Circle

Can somebody explain what this mod does? I don't see it covered under the mod section of the 2.0 manual.

What a hoot doing the flack exam at the Acadamy :rotfl:

the alternative loadscreen gives you a screen based on the original TGW 1 mod..

flak exam? never did that, just took my canoe to AN14 and shot down 5 stringbags that came to harass me

During the creation of GWX 2 there was some discussions of a load screen. The "Full Circle" load screen was put in as an alternative to the standard load screen.

Its symbolic in nature.

But a damn fine load screen too if I may say so and it my load screen of choice.

Canoe ? mmm bit of a sore subject here; last person to take a canoe out in the UK disappeared for 5 years ! [Dunno what Grid he was heading for but think it was somewhere off Panama :hmm: ]

It depicts a U-boat surfacing at speed....but some say it's too much like a U-boat fitted with the propultion plant of a 688 attack sub (Hunt For Red October) and not very realistic.
Therefore the original GW screen was given priority in the pecking order.

Each to their own I suppose

I do like this loading screen, but I do see the point. However, having blown ballast several times from 100m whilst ordering surface at ahead flank, my boat does shoot out of the water as much as in the image, or very, very nearly, so it's realistic enough for me in the SH3 world! (It's not like I can test it with a real U-boat, so I've chosen to accept that it's an extreme-but-possible case!)

I do like the regular loading screen, but this full circle one is a bit more exciting and dynamic. I very much like the 'unofficial' "No Petrol to Murmansk" loading screen too (forgot the artist's name without searching, sorry!), even if it says "GWX 1.04", as it was made before GWX 2.0 was announced.
