Strange occurence (possible GWX 2.0 bug?)

I just tried to load my new career (the one I had started after downloading GWX 2.0) and something very strange happened. Keep in mind that this career was only about four hours old; had barely just breached the North Sea.

Anyways, as I come to the inside of my ship I hear what is obviously the sounds of collapsing bulkheads.

A ship was sinking, very close to me.

I immediately jumped to my bridge to see what the hell was going on, when to my utter surprise, I am sitting in port, back in Wilhemshaven! And, the ship in question is the one that is usually heading out of port when you begin a career in the 2nd Flotilla. She was sitting in her starting position, engulfed in flames, split in two and sinking very quickly!

What was equally strange was that my clocks read 1:35pm, yet the sky indicated that it was dusk.

Has this happened to anybody else? I don't want to start another career right now to have this happen again.

Any and all input is much appreciated!

Closest I can come, I had just begun my mission and had not left Wilhelmshaven. I had the patrolling aircraft that usually pass overhead, crash into the light house and sink into the sea. But at the time I was playing around with mods so I believe it was my fault.
But I have never warped back to base. :hmm:

@Reventlow,

before you installed GWX 2.0, did you delete the "SH3" folder in "My Documents?"

Old careers/game settings are not compatible with GWX 2.0 and will cause CTD's and all sorts of oddities.

Try deleting it now, and fire up GWX again. Afterwards, you'll need to reset your in-game menu settings again (sound/language etc.)
