This is how you do it.
Find the file Commands.cfg Data/Cfg/Commands.cfg Open it with word pad at the top under edit click on find. Type in the line Snorkel_depth then click on find next You will see this: [Cmd195] Name=Snorkel_depth Ctxt=1 Str=1033 ;Key0=0xBA,C,"Comma" Delete the ; I highlited in yellow then save the file and close it. Now when you want to go to radar depth just hit the ";" key on the key board and you will go to 30 feet. If you want it to say this in your message's from the crew you need to do this. Find the MENU.text file. Data/Menu/Menu.text Open it with word pad. under edit do a find 1033=Snorkel depth Change it to 1033=Radar Depth 30 Feet Sir. then do a save. Now you will see this in your message center when the crew calls the order out. All you will hear is yes sir but you will at least see this. Radar Depth 30 Feet Sir. |

I feel better as the doctors uped my heart rate with the pacemaker per my request as I was tired of always being tired so I have more energy now which helps a lot. I was totaly at flank speed in the hospital couldn;t have had a better way of passing the time! No more heart pain now that the blood clot is gone so I am feeling and looking better. Just lost a lot of weight in the past few months. |

BTW the internal ammo compartment on the big ships can now cause a cascading explosion effect if they are breached. The explosion is intense enough to go from compatment to compartment and sink a ship and anything close to it from life boats to other ships and YOU!
So keep your distance do not get too close to a big ship as you might be in for a rude awakining very quickly! I gave an increasd sphear of influance to some explosions to make them more devistating. So all fuel oil and ammo has a big bada boom! Both above and below water. |

Never wanted a commission when I was in the Army. Was offerd it but turned it down. I like to be with the guys in the Sh*t not where it is safe. Everyone looks to the Seargents for guidance and that is what I liked to be where I can help and protect my men. So if I had a choice of Avitars I would be a Senior Chief in here seeing it is a navy forum. If it was an Army forum I would be myself SGT first class. |

I can now see trees on land clearly at over 4000 yards with a nice fade in effect as they show up Kriller2. Before you almost had to be on top of the land with a camera to see them under no fog conditions.
Now you can see tree's ports and buildings much much further away. I did this to accomidate the new game graffics engine capabilities and the row camera capabilities. So ground based objects can be seen at much greater altitudes. Original game values for this was any where from 1 - 10 minimum now they are all set at 500 |

I worked with the Atneuation factors as well to create a more realistic effect vs position of the camera and how you are looking at the light comming from the ships.
So you can get that search light effect we see in real life. This is what I used for info on how to do it. The Searchlight Effect was reported, unwittingly as usual, on the front page of the Sunday Times for 2 January 2000: describing a powerful green laser beam, Bryan Appleyard wrote "Its beam followed the meridian north out of the park, passing well to the left of the dome and then across the Thames where, to our eyes, it vanished although apparently it went on for another seven miles." Sometimes called the Searchlight Illusion, this is not an optical illusion but simply a misinterpretation of what is quite correctly seen. ![]() The figure illustrates the origin of the effect. A is seen behind the beam, the beam seems to pass behind B, and ends just before reaching C, with regard to the observer. The effect persists for an observer a considerable distance from the source of the beam, but when this seems to happen with a distant searchlight, the reason for the termination of the beam is more likely to be the limit of dust or haze in the atmosphere. The difference can easily be identified if the beam is moved about, however. If what is observed is attenuation of the beam, it will also be obvious at a distance from the weakening of the beam, in contrast to its rough constancy in the true Searchlight Effect. Unfortunatly the game only has an A and B setting for them no c setting. |
